Become Climate Ambassador at Krogerup Højskole

The rationale behind this special course is that according to UN scientific reports global warming is a reality that is caused by human activities on planet earth. These activities are having dramatic consequences for many people around the world. This leaves many of us in confusion and with a feeling of resignation: what can I do and where to start?
Therefore, the Climate Ambassador course seeks to provide practical answers to these burning questions. For this purpose, the course brings people from the around the world, in all ages and colours, from environmental activists, youth leaders, teachers, people from the public and private actors together to look for practical solutions.
For this purposeis to inspire and educate the participants to act now rather than later. Toward this objective, the course will provide basic knowledge and understanding of climate challenges and innovative solutions. It will create an international dialogue forum in which experts and participants share best practices about the most practical and affordable ways of turning the climate challenges into opportunities for creativity and innovation toward a healthier and richer life.
The main themes of the course will include basic facts and innovation in the energy, water for life, transportation, housing and food production sectors. Green growth, climate justice and campaign strategies.
The method will be combination of keynote lectures by subject experts, workshops and field trips to Copenhagen and an Eco-village in North Zealand. As a residential college, Krogerup Højskole will provide a unique space for learning to live, study and work together in an atmosphere of meaningful dialogue and cooperation. The course will be implemented in cooperation with Crossing Borders. The Crossing Borders participants are expected be around 40 from Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Israel, Jordan and Palestine.
The expected outcome will include an online magazine produce from articles, photos and short videos by the participants on climate cases in their respective regions.
